Casanovas was a comedy web series launched in 2009 by Bunch Casseday productions. Their goal was to create an audience and fan base for the episodes which were scheduled to come out every week, for 12 weeks.
The Casanovas web series would also be entered into web series contests, festivals and awards shows.
Our strategy here at Video Army was to take the grassroots "digital PR" approach to promotion, as the producers wanted the views to be organic views from actual people who like the content.
We put together a massive distribution strategy featuring the trailer of the series and targeted keywords like, “comedy web series”, as well as branding words like “Casanovas”.
The show was nominated for a Streamy award in the same category as Joss Whedon’s Dr. Horrible show for best comedy directing.
